Imagine yourself living in a desert. Your whole life living in the most arid of climates. Getting up in the morning and doing the usual routine, with more grit and sand involved. Breathing, sleeping, eating, working.  Sand and dryness is normal and expected.

Then one day, a boat shows up. A big boat. You’ve never seen one nor know where it comes from. It brings with it not only sailors but  people not native  or  familiar to you or your land. Your family is uncomfortable with the sailors and most are afraid of them. The boat also brings water. Lots of water. So much water that there is a lake that forms. The lake grows. It destroys your neighborhood with flooding. It’s streams cut through your neighbors house and your fathers house two counties away.  Everything is wet and almost unrecognizable to your eyes. Your home, your life, your family is wet, cold and soaking.

And now there are rumors that more boats have arrived.

And they have.

Wow I can just see it now… soon we will all be hooked into the Matrix. ’Its the Drink Industry’s future’. Here I thought relaxing in front of the TV watching another reality show was just enough to kick back. After all it was such a hard day of sitting at my work computer work all day.  Then again being all jerked-out from the sports drink-coffee-soda-and 5-hour energy shot from earlier in the day yesterday cuz I was up the night before watching my favorite shows I needed a booster to get me through the day today… hmm… I guess I’ll just drink something to counter those effects.

Ever wonder if the sugar of Baby Boomer helped lead to diabetes? I wonder if that means Generation X will have super-diabetes.

It is however refreshing to know that the Anti Energy Drinks are made from Plants and has the same effects at marijuana… with no chemicals…

except kava, camomile and valerian.

Then again cocaine is made from plants… along with a million other things that being ‘from a plant’ are good for you like spears. 

Do I honestly think that relaxing drinks are bad? No. In fact I know they will/are good for some. It simply displeases me because you know its true, that some people will not be able to get by without. Or at least that mental crunch like a junkie seeking out the next score, detoxing and shaking or at least being cranky. And that I see as being bad when those same people are waking up the next day and grabbing a ‘double shot’. I see that going badly. 

Can’t blame the Drink Co. either, it’s an untapped market. Create a need and take advantage/exploit it, thats business. Poor economy. blah blah blah

Trouble is this: When you go to the Dr. They will (usually) ask you it you are taking any meds. Why? Are they nosey like that? Have an extreme interest in you? Well that may be all well and good but mostly likely they want to ensure that anything new they prescribe via treatment or medication won’t cause any adverse effects. Trouble is that most of us just like the taste…

I know I am being hard on all parties here, including myself, but speaking from experience dependency is terrible hinderance.

Challenge:

Give up the processed intake for one day this week. Tomorrow if you think you can handle it. See what happends. And while you’re at it call your brother. It will be good for you.

1. Dogs having an unusual greeting for each other. It makes me think less of them. And a little better about my own habits at the same time. Ironic. Reality TV comes to mind all of a sudden.

 2. The Jackson brothers make me uncomfortable whenever they show up on my TV. How about you? Why do you think that is?  

3. Christmas themed decor seems to be making it to where it should not belong, especially this year. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to be a Grinch, but Christmas trees making in onto my TP and Hollie Berries adorning my local Mickey D’s is making me anxious. Some people are allergic. I am actually really into the Christmas spirit this year, and even have some of my gifts already wrapped, which is unusual for me, but I think Christmas has its place; and the bathroom roller and where I snag my addictive Orange Drink should stop crowding the man in the red suit.

Or…

 Maybe I should pay a less attention and just roll with the 3 months of Christmas prep time. What do you think? Are Christmas cropping up in to many place? Not enough? What is weirdest decoration you’ve seen?

Jealous of Tiger doing what he does so well on 18?  I get the same score in 9 holes he does on 18. Anyone? Or is it jealously of the life that he has chosen to make of it? The teenagers willing to stand outside for 12, count’em 12, hours for the vampire-timed-midnight showing… (the same generation that has a hard time waiting for their own soccer-mothers to drive through the drive-thru) just goes to prove the critics have missed the audience’s chain of thought. Socially opening your mom’s wallet is great for the bottom line of the industry and bonding in those short years of puberty, and no I haven’t seen or read but lets let the fad burn hot and bright and in two months we will see if Miley has her twitter back up. Not to mention that but the series is only (I hear) into the 2nd book of the 5. So that means if those of the teenage persuasion will continue to stand outside theatres, to the point that it looks like a sit-in to person hard of hearing, there will be at least 3 more movies… Hear that critics! AT LEAST 3, odds are more, no thanks to Miley.  And the best part is that moms and those that have already read the books are willing to stand outside, as it gets colder and colder ‘waiting for the vampire hour’, to view a movie that they already know what happens. Let that simmer Mr. and Mrs. Critic.

So what do you think? Not so well-hidden FU? Coincidence? I would hate to accuse the man who now rocks out his new governor threads but still has under those clothes a battle-ready battle – chasi from T1-T4. I have heard that the Swartz does have quite the history of practical jokes during his body building days that would point to his ‘humor’.

It may be that “the man who will be back” is well spoken and uses great “politic speech” ever so well in this letter. I wish I knew more history of Bill 1176. That may be the key here. But to be diligent in one’s writing and almost poetic makes me think that AS’s right brain was involved. There is a scary thought: A former body builder thinking about picking a fight…

Then again a no-budget anything can make a leader need to let off a little steam. If it is purposeful… I am glad to see he is thinking on his feet, and still immature just a little.

If not… that is just way less entertaining and therefore ‘we’ all want the man, and every other famous person for that matter who interacts as much as the rest of us, to throw out a big softball high in our zone begging to let us think we are playing the Yankees in the World series.

Honestly I think the fun of this part of the year starts with those parents who dress their defenceless little ones up as a dinosaur or astronaut or my personal favorite this year, thus far, McCain (striking resemblance with wrinkly skin, white hair topped off with a clip-on tie). Political views aside, whether it is the cold weather that gets these ideas going, their personal motives for blackmail later in life or just having a tiny suite “lying around the house” I think its great. We should do this more often. So here is to getting to dress up in our favorite chicken suites or any of Lady Gaga’s everyday-wear more often. Lets start with another day to dress up soon, particularly in front of our upper management… on second thought I am thankful its near Halloween. 

In relate news: Prescott’s Pumpkin Patch went well this past weekend. A big thanks to everybody putting that together and to those who attended. Looking forward to Halloween Harvest in Flag starting at 430 this Sat.
